It’s a Tricky Business

Developmental edits can be hard. You get your manuscript back and things you’ve put your heart, mind, and time into creating have been cut, moved around, reworded, poked at, and at times, heavily criticized. Because of this, a good relationship fit between writer and editor is extremely important. Honesty is a must. And trust is essential.

The best way to get a feel for the editor, what they do, and how it works for you, is to try it out. Because we understand this, Townsend will review sample pages of your manuscript and provide in-depth feedback free of charge. There are no contracts, long-term commitments, or promises to partner. Just a few sample pages and some honest feedback.
